hey guys, Singaporean here. Please, as far as possible, eat hawker food! The food culture in Southeast Asia is amazing and Singapore is no exception. Try national foods for really low prices while supporting our lovely uncles and aunties. I had friends here on exchange eat at restaurants that they complained were pricey and didn’t really try hawker food, which i think is a total shame. Almost everybody speaks English, if the person serving you is an old person who doesn’t really speak english, just ask a local to help – they’d be pretty happy to.
I am going in November and this is super helpful. This is the best video by far. Thank you so much for posting it.
